Olympic Games as diversion to launch an attack

False flag for Vancouver 2010. The thought has crossed many a mind.
I have already covered it, here, here and elsewhere, but you get the idea, so I won't bore you again with that.

The Olympics are supposed to represent a time of unity, global unity.
Faux world unity aside... the Olympics have previously provided an opportunity, a cover for another kind of 'games' I feel a flashback comin' on!.....

Bejing, China 2008- the Olympic games open August 08/2008
Remember that? Sure you do!
Because, the eyes of the world were watching the Olympics unfold in a 'communist' nation

But, how many of you remember that, while your gaze was diverted- Georgia took the opportunity to invade South Ossestia on August 08/2008
What a surprise that was! You can refresh your memory, here, here, here and here.
Despite the western media spin, it became obvious to those that were paying attention that indeed Georgia was the aggressor.

And, all this happened as the Olympics opened in China.

Where am I going with all this?
Vancouver 2010. The opening ceremony is February 12/2010
There are a number of nations really hot to get a war on!
The US and Israel come to mind.
Would they? Could they? Attack another nation while the gaze of the world is diverted?
Georgia sure took the opportunity. Will another nation, or nations together?.......

What real value in coerced confession ?

Omar Khadr's incarceration at Guantanamo is ongoing.
He is a Canadian Citizen, who was 15 yrs old at the time of his arrest

The Supreme Court in Canada has ruled his right to life, liberty and security under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms were violated.

Khadr was interrogated in a 'coercive' manner by American and Canadian officials.
Anything he 'confessed' to in these interrogation sessions can be used against him.

“Canadian officials questioned Mr. Khadr on matters that may have provided important evidence relating to his criminal proceedings, in circumstances where they knew that Mr. Khadr was being indefinitely detained, was a young person, and was alone during the interrogations,” they said.

“Interrogation of a youth to elicit statements about the most serious criminal charges – while detained in these conditions and without access to counsel and while knowing the fruits of the interrogations would be shared with the U.S. prosecutors – offends the most basic Canadian standards about the treatment of detained youth suspects.”

Here is an interrogation of a young man who unbelievably, though he was completely innocent, confessed to the murder of his own sister. Thankfully evidence cleared him.

Watch the video

Then go here and watch the excerpted interrogation of Khadr.

Ask yourself this question, what value lies in coerced confessions ?

Excess Canadian Swine flu vaccine and cash to WHO and Mexico

The Swin(dl)e Flu. What is the latest?
Canada is giving away it's excess vaccines.Yes, you read that right, excess vaccines bought and paid for with Canadian taxpayer dollars!

Depite the WHO claims to the otherwise, the swine flu 'pandemic' was a hoax, from the changing of the defintion of pandemic to the rampant profiteering by pharmaceutical giants, untested vaccines and useless anti-virals.
The WHO is trying to claim they prevented a pandemic, but the simple truth is the pandemic was well into it's second wave in many countries before the vaccine was even available. The first wave would have been the worst wave. By time the second wave came round, many people would have been exposed and had some immunities.
If you wish to review the swine flu 'pandemic' as it evolved click on the swine flu label at the bottom of this post, goodness knows how many posts are here to read covering this topic!
Right now, the latest!

Going on recall, Canada purchased 50 million doses of vaccine, for a population of approximately 30 million.
The reasoning for this purchase was that children were going to require two doses. That recommendation was quickly dropped. Anyway...
Canada is now giving to the WHO 5 million doses of swine flu vaccine and 6 million dollars.
(Because Canada is not in recession with mass unemployment and expanding welfare rolls, facetious)
Canada previously 'lent' Mexico 5 million doses of vaccine.

It has been clear for months Canada would have a large vaccine surplus.

Just how much surplus is there?
"Canada's surplus may be twice as large as the amount of vaccine the country has actually used"
"The federal government has resisted making a projection of how large the vaccine surplus will be"
Obviously the government isn't going to tell the public how much excess vaccine there is.

Since the "The second wave of H1N1 activity in Canada peaked in November" when the vaccines were finally available, it was all over...except for the media campaign! Ya, the media campaign! To tell Canadians about the deadly pandemic. Which would have been obvious, had the pandemic in fact been deadly.
How much did the media campaign cost?
How about $41 million for communications alone.
Of the $41 million for communications, $15 million was awarded via contract to Cossette Media of Montreal, according to a report in Quebec newspaper La Presse, which obtained the information using the access to information law.
And the amount spent on useless anti-virals - $17.1 million for antiviral drugs

Missiles over Canada, Part Deux

Missiles over Canada. I covered this a bit in yesterday's post, here.
So, what do we have?
We have 3 missiles over Newfoundland, Harbour Mille to be specific. We have witnesses, we have photographs.

Descriptions of the object, have the missile as long as a transport truck. One of the eye witnesses was initially told by the RCMP that the missiles originated from the territorial island of France, St. Pierre and Miquelon.
She says an RCMP officer called her at home twice and confirmed her suspicion that what the three neighbours saw were in fact missiles and were fired from the French islands of St. Pierre and Miquelon, about 25 kilometres off the southern coast of N.L.
"[The officer] said it was a missile and it was sent off over the French islands, and it was set off by the army over there," Ms. Pardy said.
"The investigation is ongoing and we will be working with our various partners," he said. "At this point it is not a criminal investigation so we will be doing very minor checks on it."

France launches missiles over Newfoundland, Canada?

While taking photos a resident of Harbour Mille a community in  Newfoundland, Canada, caught more then just the setting sun. It looked like a missile. In fact, it was three missiles
No one seems to know what two neighbors saw off the coast of Newfoundland earlier this week, but the two are convinced three large bullet-like objects were missiles. And they have photos they say prove it
Possibly missiles from a French (France) submarine?
On Wednesday morning, the French military confirmed it had completed submarine-based missile testing off the northwest coast of France. The testing concluded at 4:55 a.m., Newfoundland standard time, but there was no confirmed start time. The test was the first in a series of six planned in 2010 for the M51 nuclear missile.
According to the French military, the M51 has a range of approximately 10,000 kilometres. The distance between the test site in Audierne Bay, France, and Harbour Mille is only 3,800 kilometres.
Oddly, though, in the CBC article, the claim is:

"The French Ministry of Defence posted a message on its website confirming it had launched a missile from a submarine this week but the time and direction didn't match with what was reportedly seen over the south coast of Newfoundland."
If they did, why weren't Canadian citizens notified?
Were the missiles from France's submarine, and they do not want it known?
Then, on the other hand, with the Canadian government prorogued????

I will admit, with the Olympics up and coming, this one gives me pause for thought.

Haiti - Without the taint of western entitlement or righteousness.

Meant to get these up yesterday.
Two pieces by John Maxwell, he writes for the Jamaica Observer.
Why is a different perspective needed?
In the North American media, I can't help but notice every article written is tainted with an attitude of  " we know what Haiti needs". And, these calls for a new vision of Haiti or a revision of Haiti?  An entitled attitude  that displays not just an arrogance, but also an attitude of master and slave. Imagine how that attitude must seem to  the people of Haiti. Or how sickening the sight of  the ex-president buffoon brothers Bush and Clinton 'helping out' in Haiti ? How exactly is the new vision or revision of Haiti the decision of the US and Canada?
It isn't of course. But, that doesn't stop the leaders of either nation from pushing their agenda.
Back to John Maxwell and two of  his recent, excellent op-eds.

I have only excerpted from the two, hoping you will read them entirely at the links provided

No, Mister! You Cannot Share My Pain!

If you shared my pain you would not continue to make me suffer, to torture me, to deny me my dignity and my rights, especially my rights to self-determination and self-expression.
Six years ago you sent your Ambassador Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to perform an action illegal under the laws of your country, my country and of the international community of nations.

One of the survivors of Tuesday's devastating earthquake in Haiti.
1/1
It was an act so outrageous, so bestially vile and wicked that your journalists and news agencies, your diplomats and politicians to this day cannot bring themselves to truthfully describe or own up to the crime that was committed when US Ambassador James Foley, a career diplomat, arrived at the house of President Jean-Bertrand Aristide with a bunch of CIA thugs and US Marines to kidnap the president of Haiti and his wife.

The Aristides were stowed aboard a CIA plane normally used for 'renditions' of suspected terrorists to the worldwide US gulag of dungeons and torture chambers.

The plane, on which the Aristides are listed as "cargo", flew to Antigua - an hour away - and remained on the ground in Antigua while Colin Powell's State Department and the CIA tried to blackmail and bribe various African countries to accept ("give asylum to") the kidnapped president and his wife.
The Central African Republic - one of George W Bush's 'Dark Corners of the World' - agreed for an undisclosed sum, to give the Aristides temporary asylum.

And his other piece
Boojum Hunting in the Caribbean

This area of existential discombobulation is much more dangerous than its kin. It is, first of all, not composed of material fragments but of abstractions, strange apparitions that do not poison fish or litter beaches, but poison minds and litter brave new policies with the toxic detritus of ancient ignorance, hysteria and unreasonable beliefs.

It is a place where ancient racist libels still hang around, driving US politicians to distraction and the Bible. It is the place where apparitions like Pat Robertson, Roger Noriega, Otto Reich and Luigi Einaudi flourish and have their being, sustained by vicious fables invented 500 years ago to justify human slavery, revised and updated periodically to deal with black rebellion against slavery, colonialism and used today to frighten and confuse US soldiers and journalists.

Baron Samedi walks again
When I was about 12 years old, I borrowed a book from the Institute of Jamaica's Junior Centre library. It was part of a donation by the Carnegie Foundation and was almost brand new.
I cannot remember the name or author, but the book was obviously written to sell millions by frightening the wits out of its American readers.

Thunder Generator- the latest in sonic weaponry

One has to wonder at the industrious military industry. Always coming up with new and different ways to maim and kill.
First there was the LRAD. Now, there is the "Thunder Generator"
Both are sonic devices. The Thunder Generator, seems to be an 'improvement' of the LRAD.
The feeling of "being hit" produced by the stun gun is said to be similar to that of standing in front of a firing squad.
However at less then 10 metres, the Thunder Generator can produce lethal results.
See the improvement?
While the LRAD can just leave you deaf, the Thunder Generator can kill you.

The Thunder Generator-made in Israel-approved for production and use.

The Thunder Generator could be a good way of keeping stone-throwing youths out of a sensitive area without using excessive force
Stone throwing youths vs the  potentially lethal  at 10 metres Thunder Generator?
Without excessive force? I guess that all depends on how excessive force is defined?

Climategate: A conspiracy in the making

Came across an interesting article mentioning a "painstakingly detailed review" of the leaked Climategate e-mails. I had to check it out. If this was even half as interesting as was being touted, it was going to be must read material.

The analysis was done by John P Costella B.E.(Elec.)(Hons.) B.Sc.(Hons.) Ph.D.(Physics) Grad.Dip.Ed.
"documenting, step by step, how science was perverted to advance misguided ideology, cynical politics and personal and professional interests".
A quick search brought me right to the report here
It appears to start in order from earliest to latest e-mail leaked.
It looks like all the information you need is here.

Excerpt:

"Climategate has shattered that myth. It gives us a peephole into the work of the scientists investigating possibly the most important issue ever to face mankind. Instead of seeing large collaborations of meticulous, careful, critical scientists, we instead see a small team of incompetent cowboys, abusing almost every aspect of the framework of science to build a fortress around their “old boys’ club”, to prevent real scientists from seeing the shambles of their “research”.

Mr Costella seems to have done everything possible to make it as accessible to everyone.

VeriChip, implanting nightclub patrons in Scotland

Microchipping drinkers? If you think this is a good idea, alchoholism is likely not your only problem.
A Scottish nightclub is about to become the first in Britain to offer its customers the chance to have a microchip implanted in their arm to save them carrying cash.
The "digital wallet", the size of a grain of rice, guarantees entry to the club and allows customers to buy drinks on account.
"digital wallet" nice spin, this is how people get sold on really bad ideas

The VeriChip is inserted by a medical professional and then scanned for its unique ID number as a customer enters the bar.

The scheme was criticised by a spokesman for the Scottish Executive, who said the microchip could encourage excessive drinking, and by Notags, a consumer group set up to resist the spread of radio frequency identification devices.

A spokesman said: "The chip contains your name and ID number and, as this could be read remotely without your knowledge, that is already too much information."
Imagine the possibilities - local law enforcement armed with rfid readers can pick you up for numerous alcohol related offences. Imagine the fines, the hiked insurance rates, the jail time????
All that handy information in one place. So convenient.

Lethal Force an option for Vancouver Olympic airspace

Norad warns it can use ‘lethal force’ if pilots don’t obey Olympic airspace rules

The Canadian Forces are ready to exercise “lethal force” in a worst-case scenario to defend new airspace-security restrictions being imposed during the 2010 Olympic Games.

The new airspace designations are effective Jan. 29 to March 24.

-They begin with two conjoined “Olympic rings” established within a 30-nautical mile radius around Vancouver International Airport and the Whistler athletes’ village and extending from surface to an altitude of 18,000 feet. The ring around YVR extends into Washington state almost to Bellingham and has the approval of the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration.
- Within these two Olympic over-arching rings are three smaller “Olympic control areas” that include the Sea to Sky corridor to an altitude of 12,500 feet, and a 13-mile radius around YVR and Whistler to 18,000 feet.
-The third and final airspace designation is “Olympic restricted zones” and applies to Olympic villages, competition and training venues.
-Marine traffic will be subject to no-go “exclusion zones”
-Dangerous goods transport will be restricted — generally between midnight and 6 a.m. on roadways — on the Sea to Sky Highway, downtown Vancouver, and within 500 metres of Olympic venues

 Interesting;
"The security rules on transportation bring to mind the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attack on the twin towers of New York City’s World Trade Center along with the Oct. 12, 2000, suicide bombing of the USS Cole destroyer in Yemen."

Do the security rules bring to mind these particular incidents?
I don't see it.  Is this a  suggestion that these types of security measures were in place when both incidents (9/11/USS Cole) took place. I don't think so.
Or is the mention of these incidents and that just released ressurection tape of Osama Bin Laden meant to reinforce some  specific propaganda??

IPCC linked warming and disasters without proof

Just a quick update to yesterday's post on Stormgate.

Days after the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change admitted to goofing up on Himalayan glaci-ers, it said it was reviewing earli-er finding blaming global warming for increase in number of natural disasters such as floods and droughts.
In short: the panel could have got this wrong too.
“We are reassessing the evidence and will publish a report on natural disasters and extreme weather with the latest findings,” IPCC vice-chairperson Jean-Pascal van Ypersele told a London weekly Sunday Times.
The paper, on which the IPCC had based its claim, was finally published in 2008 with a caveat: “We find insufficient evidence to claim a statistical relationship between global temperature increase and catastrophe losses.”
But the IPCC neither issued a clarification nor modified its own report.
Sunday Times also said that at least two experts who checked drafts of the IPCC report urged greater caution in proposing a link between climate change and disaster impacts — but they were ignored.

No to the Rogue

That is the prorogue and more!
Glad to see the Canadians out in Ottawa, thanks to YaYa for some good photos from the protest.
Check them out!
Stay active Canada!

Seance Held, Contact Made and Recorded ! Osama Speaks

So, there is a new BinLaden tape? . You can see it here, if you are so inclined.
What is interesting the White House isn't even claiming it is authentic, they are just pretending it is.

White House: Can't confirm bin Laden tape authentic

WASHINGTON: A White House top adviser said on Sunday he could not confirm the authenticity of an audiotape purported to be Osama bin Laden

"I can't confirm that (al Qaeda's responsibility for the attack) nor can we confirm the authenticity of the tape, but assuming that it is him  his message contains the same hollow justifications for the mass slaughter of innocents that we've heard before," David Axelrod sai

The authenticity of the audiotape can not be confirmed. Al Qaeda responsibility for the attack (underwear bomber) cannot be confirmed according to David Axelrod.

And this is interesting, the State Department seems to be distancing itself from the audio tape.

The State Department says Osama bin Laden may be "trying to continue to appear relevant" by claiming responsibility for the plot to bomb a U.S. airliner. The claim comes in an audio message released today that hasn't been authenticated. U.S. officials say there's no indication bin Laden or any of his top lieutenants had anything to do with the attempted Christmas Day attack.
The State department is for all intents and purposes acknowledging what Osama is saying is baloney.
A tape that is not authentic, claims made that are not legitimate, and a State Department saying it is all hollow.

I did listen to the tape, and if I had to guess who benefitted the most from this tape, I would say Israel is the biggest benefactor.
The ghost of Bin Laden specifically cites the Palestinian situation, particularly Gaza.
Interesting?
At a time, when Israel is looking to start another war with Lebanon, has settler's gone wild, is busily arresting peace activists. They could use a bit of sympathy in the department of public relations.

But, set aside all that, the so called Peace talks are supposed to be underway.
This tape works to Israel's political advantage because they can claim that they will not cave in to terror threats, from the spectral terrorist Osama Bin Laden. Therefore, they don't have to really make peace in Palestine.Which suits Israel just fine.

United Nations caught lying again, this time Stormgate

Breaking news! But first, Danny Glover, your Haiti hypothesis- flawed!

Polanski US bound?

Polanski must return to the US. Judge makes that very clear.

Judge Peter Espinoza rejected a request by Polanski to be sentenced in absentia. The judge stated unequivocally that the only way the 1978 case could be resolved is if Polanski returned to California.

"I choose to insist in defense of the integrity of the judicial system. He needs to appear," Espinoza said. "I've made it clear he needs to surrender.... Motion is denied."

I am still thinking there is more to this then meets the eye.
Why after all this time? Is it time to pay the piper?

Turkey detains suspected Alqaeda suspects

Anatolia reported that a faculty member from Yüzüncü Yıl University in Van detained in the raid was alleged to have Internet contact with al-Qaeda recruiters in camps in Afghanistan. Several other students from the university were also detained.
This action took place just before Turkey hosts several high-profile international meetings focusing on the situation in Afghanistan.
On Monday, Turkey’s president Abdullah Gul will meet the presidents of Afghanistan and Pakistan, Hamid Karzai and Asif Ali Zardari, in a trilateral summit in Istanbul. The summit will be followed by a meeting of Afghanistan’s neighbouring countries, also in Istanbul.

Turkey, Afghanistan and Pakistan presidents meeting, along with neighbouring countries.
Focusing on the situation if Afghanistan? What about the situation? Perhaps, they are looking at a change?
Were Israeli leaders going to be in attendance? Given all the latest hostilities between Israel and Turkey as of late, I wonder?
This meeting would/ could  be one the western powers/NATO would rather not take place.
If that is the case, the 'alquaeda' operatives, on whose behalf are they operating?
The University faculty member and student arrests makes me think, not of terrorism, but of intelligence operations, ala Iran.
Hmmmm.....

Cave of Crystals

Well, if you have read the first of today's post and are feeling a little disheartened.
Get a lode of this, something out of this world and yet, a part of our beautiful world.
Amazing. Take a couple minutes and watch the video

A rare glimpse of the cave of crystals

Mexico's Cave of Crystals stunned geologists when it was first discovered in 2000. The underground chamber contains some of the largest natural crystals ever found - some of the selenite structures have grown to more than 10m long.

Israel the leader in battlefield robotics, but , not alone.

Before you read this a thought. War crimes? Where will the accountability be when machines are doing the killing?

Israel is developing an army of robotic fighting machines that offers a window onto the potential future of warfare.

"We're trying to get to unmanned vehicles everywhere on the battlefield for each platoon in the field," says Lt. Col. Oren Berebbi, head of the Israel Defense Forces' technology branch. "We can do more and more missions without putting a soldier at risk." ( No mention of the fact that more civilians can be slaughtered)

In 10 to 15 years, one-third of Israel's military machines will be unmanned.

When the U.S. invaded Iraq in 2003, it had just a handful of drones. Today, U.S. forces have around 7,000 unmanned vehicles in the air and an additional 12,000 on the ground, used for tasks including reconnaissance, airstrikes and bomb disposal.

Among the recently deployed technologies that set Israel ahead of the curve is the Guardium unmanned ground vehicle, which now drives itself along the Gaza and Lebanese borders

I found this entire article, sickening. The slant the article contained was nauseating enough.
But, then to think of the wanton killing of humanity that can be carried out......
Are some human beings really this despicable, for the sake of, for the love of money?
If war wasn't so profitable, it would be long gone. If people were not so gullible to be duped into fighting wars for 'leaders', we would have peace.

Raw Milk Farmer wins! Slays the Behemoth

Raw milk farmerpoints out the obvious-
At trial, Schmidt argued the charges that were laid against him were unconstitutional and infringed on his personal rights and freedoms.

He also said government officials and food scientists cannot guarantee the safety of any food, and argued informed consumers should be able to buy raw milk, just as they can buy raw meat.

According to the Ministry of Health, there were 145 cases of reportable enteric illness associated with unpasteurized milk in Ontario between 2005 and 2009.

How many people have been poisoned from 'properly processed' foods?

Oh and one more thing, the raw milk supporters suggest that  pasteurization enables the milk industry to raise cows in less-expensive, less-healthy conditions.

I can't disagree with that.

Bottom line, if these people want to drink this milk and they are confident and comfortable with doing so, that is their right.

Haitian Slave Revolt 1791

One important period in Haitian history is the slave revolt.

The slave revolt  is known of certainly, but how much is known of it?
Do we fully appreciate what a massive struggle it was, and how much the slave army overcame?
What message is held within their heroic struggle that may hold meaning for us ? Thinking about this piece of history, how one tiny island, and it's populace fought three empires, the Spanish, the French and the British.
I am left to wonder- Are we, the common folk, not taught about because it was a time when people, ordinary, largely illiterate oppressed people took the power?
An excerpt below-

Columbus bequeathed the island Hispaniola to the Spanish Empire, which within 250 years managed to exterminate the entire native population. The exterminators, to continue their trade, came to rely increasingly on slaves taken from Africa to work their plantations.

By 1789 Hispaniola had been divided and renamed. The eastern half, Santo Domingo,(Dominican Republic) destitute and desolate, was still governed from Spain.
The western half, St Domingue,(Haiti) was run by France. It was heavily populated.
In 1789 there were 30,000 whites in St Domingue, 40,000 mulattos of mixed race, and half a million black African slaves.
In 1789 St Domingue was the richest place on earth, producing sugar, coffee, cotton, indigo and tobacco. The value of its exports made up two thirds of the gross national produce of all France. The whole of this vast surplus was entirely dependent on slave labour.
The slaves were allowed no education, no independent thought, no rights. This was a savage, brutalised society, held together by fear and sadism.
The French Revolution which began in 1789 started to change all this. Many of the people who took office in the early stages of the revolution were merchants who hated slavery in principle, but benefited from it in practice. So the revolutionary French Assembly made a compromise. It decreed that all of the 500,000 black slaves must stay slaves. French citizenship was extended to any mulattos who could show that their father and mother were born in France – just 400 people.
No one was satisfied. It infuriated the planters, patronised the mulattos and ignored the slaves. But the concessions opened a chink of light, paving the way to the great revolt which broke out in St Domingue on 14 August 1791.
In a great wave of savagery, slaves slaughtered their masters and burnt their mansions – and were slaughtered in return. By the end of the year a huge slave army had established itself.
It was joined by a coachman called Toussaint. Unlike almost all his fellow slaves he could read and write. Very quickly he became the acknowledged leader of the slave army, and remained in charge for 12 years of war.
His first enemies were the French planters.Toussaint signed treaties with Spain, which gave him arms in the hope that he might defeat the French and hand the whole island to them.
Within months Toussaint's army had captured all the ports on the north of the island.
Very quickly he realised that negotiations with the planters were useless. Messengers sent to negotiate with the planters were executed before they could speak. The result was the slogan which dominated the entire slave campaign, "Liberty or death".

Please do read the rest at the link, it is really worth reading. But, there is one last thing I want to share.
If you don't read it all you will miss the homage, paid by British poet William Wordsworth, to the slave leader. Toussaint had died while imprisoned by the French. I thought it quite touching.

Live and take comfort, thou hast left behind
Powers that will work for thee; air, earth and skies;
There's not a breathing of the common wind
That will forget thee; thou hast great allies;
Thy friends are exultations, agonies
And love, and man's unconquerable mind.

Glacier Gate- a subsidiary of Climate Gate

The IPPC / Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and their science? How obvious does this have to get ? Good article here

The head of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Thursday refused to answer any question on its unsubstantiated claim that Himalayan glaciers would disappear by 2035, which it subsequently admitted was a goof-up, even as four leading academics questioned the warning anew.

More Olympic news- 2 tons of missing ammonium nitrate?

Happened to catch this over here:  More False Flag Red Flags

Just a tidbit from the post, you can read the rest at above link.

2 tons of missing ammonium nitrate in BC. January 16th/09

HOWEVER, the company says, the fertilizer, ammonium nitrate,  was found and it was all just a clerical error.
"But on Jan. 6, police said the company told authorities the inventory discrepancy was the result of a clerical error, and that all material had been accounted for -- a conclusion RCMP have not yet been able to confirm"
As reported here on January 6/2010.

So why is the RCMP saying this cannot be confirmed, when the company has confirmed they have the ammonium nitrate?

Turkey and Israel: An acrimonious end.

Two interesting perspectives on the same issue, the cooling of the relationship between Turkey and Israel.
Note how each nation put their own unique twist on the situation.
From Turkey: So who is Israel's one true friend? Clue: it isn't the US

Friends don't let friends drive drunk, an old American slogan says. By that measure the US has hardly been a real friend to Israel over the past decade. It has enabled a pattern of Israeli behaviour so reckless as to endanger Israel's prospects of ever achieving peaceful coexistence with the states and peoples around it.

An aggressive drunk often reserves his most toxic invective for those of his friends who tell him the truth: that his behaviour is intolerable, is dangerous to himself and others, and can't be allowed to continue.

So it should come as no surprise that the most belligerent of Israel's leaders are shaking their fists at Turkey......
Getting to the last sentence:

It is better for Israel – and the US too, frankly – if Turkey takes the lead in saying things that western powers are no longer willing to say. Because the essence of Turkey's message is simple: Israel needs to sober up.

Love the analogy Israel as the wreckless drunkard, stumbling along on a drunken and destructive path, emboldened by an unhealthy relationship with an equally sick enabler, the US.

Now, the take by Israel: I find it quite typically Israeli. But, I don't want to ruin it.
Let's just say, it is the same old, same old.

The rift in Israeli-Turkish relations is the result of Ankara turning away from secularism and toward more radical Islam, Israel's military intelligence chief said on Tuesday.

For Israel there is one narrative, one myth, the powerful story, radical muslims.
Cripes, at least the writer from Turkey was more creative. With Israel, it's the same old, same old.

What is really going on between these two, is anyones guess.
Definitely the relationship has soured.
Turkey expressed, and rightly so, disgust over the brutal attack on Gaza.
Israel  most recently retaliated with a childish chastising of the Turkish ambassador on Israeli television.
(Acknowledged in the article from Haaretz.)
While that kind of foolishness may play out well to an Israeli audience, it looks petty and vindictive internationally.
Just kiss and say goodbye, when it is over, it is over.

Jeju Island-the fight against the base continues

Jeju Island, struggles against the building of a very strategic base on their tiny piece of paradise.
Refresh your memory with this post.Naval Base on Jeju Island - China's strangulation continues

While most may not realize it, this base is part and parcel of the bigger picture of controlling trade routes globally, and by extension the countries that depend on this trade. Haiti is part of that scene.

Here is the latest news  on Jeju Island and their struggle against a military base. NO Jeju Island Navel Base

-Around 5am Monday: 500 police were mobilized with three cranes. Police raided the planned site for the ceremony for starting to work on the naval base [ which will be home base for Navy Aegis destroyers of U.S. and South Korea outfitted with "missile defense" systems and used to surround China's coast].  It is in the east side of the village and the village people had been barricading the site with the cars since when the cranes contracted by the navy first entered the site on Jan. 6. About 30 village people succeeded to block it at the time. It is known that the police harshly acted today, against the people who are mostly in their old ages.  The village people laid their bodies on the ground and cried to rather kill all of them. They pushed the old women and men.  The police did not even mind women’s underwears were taken off duringthe body struggles. The whole story reminds the Pyeongteak when the police attacked the village early in the dawn of May 4, 2006.

The mayor came out and was arrested.

China eyes Caribbean fuel oil market now, crude later

Haiti, the more I read, the more heartbroken I am for the people. This is totally geo-political, and there is nothing humanitarian about the US move into Haiti.

BEIJING, China (Reuters) -- PetroChina's move to take a big position in Caribbean oil storage should give the state oil company immediate muscle in the region's residual fuel trade and open up longer-term options for crude trading.

PetroChina's assumption this week of Saudi Aramco's lease on 5 million barrels of oil storage capacity at the strategically located Statia terminal in the Caribbean signaled its intent to build a global oil trading network.

The NuStar Energy LP Statia terminal on the Dutch Caribbean island of St Eustatius can handle the largest oil tankers. It is just a few days sail from major US refining and transport hubs on the Gulf Coast.

The Caribbean is growing more important as an oil trading center with the emergence of a possible new sour crude benchmark in the Argus Sour Crude Index. Still, sources say PetroChina's initial focus probably is on shorter-term marketing goals that will make it a major player in the Caribbean "bunker", or ship fuel, market.

"It will mostly be used for fuel oil or bunkers but may also be used for crude in the future," said a PetroChina trading official.

*Fuel oil is China's most widely imported oil product. It is burned in power plants, ships and processed by China's small privately owned "teapot" refineries.

Venezuela has emerged as China's biggest supplier of fuel oil as President Hugo Chavez looks to shift the country's oil marketing efforts away from the United States, even though the Caribbean nation lacks access to Pacific ports.

But the fuel oil market in Asia is becoming more competitive as demand growth eases and traders fight for market share. Analysts say economies of scale are needed to weather the downturn, driving the expansion of regional players into other markets such as the Middle East and India.

"It's in the center covering both North and South America. If you look at the bunker market alone, it's huge," said another Beijing-based PetroChina executive.

Underscoring PetroChina's eagerness to expand its reach in the Caribbean residual fuel market, the company is reportedly in talks with US refiner Valero to acquire its shuttered refinery on the island of Aruba.

The Aruba refinery mainly produces fuel oil and unfinished feedstocks, making it potentially an excellent source of fuel oil blendstocks for the Statia terminal.

But regardless of PetroChina's short-term plans for the Statia terminal, some oil traders and analysts believe it is only a matter of time until the state-backed company begins to use it as part of a crude oil trading network.

PetroChina began building a presence in the giant US physical crude markets several years ago. But with little of its own production in the region it may be some time until the PetroChina plays a bigger role in regional crude markets.

"Without equity crude it would not make business sense to use the terminal as a crude oil staging point ... the margins would be minimal," said Sarah Emerson, director of Energy Security Analysis Inc in Boston.

However, PetroChina is among the companies interested in Venezuela's Orinoco heavy oil belt, which could give it significant crude oil production in the Caribbean basin toward the end of the decade.

The widening of the Panama Canal later this decade will also alter the dynamics of the Caribbean market, making it more responsive to market forces in the Pacific.

The $5.25 billion expansion of the Panama Canal will allow the waterway to handle Suezmax ships, which can carry up to 1 million barrels of crude, when completed in 2014. It is expected to open up new trade flows for crude oil shipments from West Africa and bolster the role of Caribbean storage in the portfolio of global oil traders.

"With the canal expansion you'll have options to deliver to a lot of places. It opens up arbitrage to the (US) West Coast in a meaningful way and is going to turn the region into a key storage point for both oceans," said a US Gulf Coast crude oil trader.

This expansion of the Panama Canal, an oil chokepoint, and the proximity of Haiti and specifically the Windward Passage to that chokepoint, as the shortest  trade route all mentioned here, are clear indicators of why the US is militarizing Haiti. There is no humanitarianism in this move, none what so ever!

Haiti, Yemen, Somalia & the strategic locales they share.

Haiti, Yemen and Somalia, what do they all have in common?
They are strategically located.
Strategic to what, you ask?
Strategic to shipping lanes and control of ship traffic. Oil choke point traffic.

There is, in a nutshell, the answer to the obvious and rampant militarization of Haiti being undertaken as I type.

First, some Haitian history
Washington's interest in Haiti arose chiefly because of the country's proximity to the Panama Canal and Central America. Haiti also controls the Windward Passage, a narrow body of water that could be easily closed, disrupting maritime traffic.

Why is the Panama Canal so important?
Panama Canal is a World Oil Transit Chokepoint.
What's the latest news on the Panama Canal? Expansion

"No fewer than 140 shipping routes(counted port-to-port) already run via Panama: the ability to take bigger vessels could add even more, especially between eastern South America and Asia, and western South America and the American East Coast and Europe. Brazilian soya and iron ore and Colombian coal in big bulk carriers may soon have better access to China, which might in turn affect commodity prices"

Better access can just as easily turn into access denied.

But beyond the chokepoints lie the water that has to be traversed to get either in or out of the chokepoints.
This is  the commonality shared by  Haiti, Yemen and Somalia.

Yemen and Somalia are on either side "of Bab el-Mandab"
The Strait of Bab el-Mandab is a chokepoint between the horn of Africa and the Middle East, and a strategic link between the Mediterranean Sea and Indian Ocean." Bab el-Mandab, between Yemen, Djibouti, and Eritrea connects the Red Sea with the Gulf of Aden and the Arabian Sea. Oil and other exports from the Persian Gulf must pass through Bab el-Mandab before entering the Suez Canal.

As for Haiti, it seems the  Windward Passage is the strategic waterway?
.

The Windward Passage is the strait  that specifically lies between the easternmost region of Cuba and the northwest of Haiti. 80km wide, the Windward Passage has a threshold depth of 1,700m. It connects the Atlantic Ocean to the Caribbean Sea, and is in the direct path of shipping between the Panama Canal and the eastern seaboard of the United States.

It all boils down to control. Control of the flow of energy resources. Access to markets and more.
The lives of the Haitians are about to get a whole lot worse if that is even imaginable?

The Power of a Story

Thanks to James for this : Dominion Over the World (II): Why the Stories We Tell Matter So Much
James said it was good and indeed it is, so I must share the info.

It is about the narratives or myths we believe as a society, as a nation. And how these narratives work for and/or against us. The whole China censorship mantra story got me thinking this one had to be brought to light.

An excerpt to whet the whistle: regarding the myth of America and how this myth, this narrative, this fiction pans out in reality;

The myth, narrative or belief:
The belief that the original vision still exists today flows into the other parts of the enduring myth: America remains the final, best hope of mankind; America is essentially pure in purpose and motive; America has only liberty as its goal, for itself and for the rest of mankind; America eschews all forms of power over others.

 The reality:
If events of the last few years have proved nothing else, they have proved that this myth is no longer true. We invaded a country that did not threaten us; we have established dominion over it; we will leave only when that country will do our bidding, in all the ways that concern our leaders. Such purposes may be described in many ways; liberty is not one of them. (A knowledge of history, and especially of the Spanish-American War and its aftermath in the Philippines, should have established these facts long ago.)

But to see and acknowledge this changed reality, one must be willing to face the facts squarely, and one must be able to appreciate their meaning. This is why I stress the power of narrative, and the power of myth. Once it is embedded deeply enough in the national psyche, the myth cannot be dislodged. No matter that a mountain of contradictory facts has arisen, the myth will prevail. And the full truth is worse: the new reality, a reality which contradicts and undercuts the actual founding principles at their root, is justified in the name of the myth. Even torture, we are told, is acceptable if we practice it -- precisely because we practice it on the myth's behalf. We may even torture, and the inhumane and barbaric become virtuous, because we act in the name of liberty -- the same liberty that is now vanishing into memory within our own shores.

These stories shape our reality so much so, that even horrendous abuses are justified in the name of the story.

Google threatens China pull out for reasons of 'censorship'

Yup, that is the claim being made in the main stream media. Censorship. Deny access to ensure or manage perception.
The accusations sound a bit hollow. Perhaps, empty words for a western audience?
Or something else?

An article from Australia , of all places, brings up some interesting info. Why  specifically mention Australia?
Because Australia censors! It too has a'great firewall' of censorship.
Not many people are aware of that fact. But, near silence on the part of the main stream media doesn't change the reality, that Australia censors the internet and New Zealand may follow.

Some worrying developments are occurring across the Tasman as Australian Communications Minister Stephen Conroy presses ahead with his plan to censor the internet after Government-commissioned trials found filtering a blacklist of banned sites was accurate and would not slow down the internet.
Conroy announced he is making it mandatory for internet service providers (ISPs) to block a secret blacklist of “refused classification” (RC) websites for all Australian internet users.

Legislation to implement the scheme will be introduced before the federal election next year.
The announcement, made in the week before Christmas, has infuriated the Australian online community and spurred a campaign called No Clean Feed calling for a blackout. Another campaign by Get Up is also running.

And, it isn't just Australia and New Zealand. It is other alleged free and democratic societies. Snooping and censoring. Recall this story Internet snoops wanted. Apply US Army.

Or the latest? Cass Sunstein and his cointelpro  proposal ? That is domestic counterintelligence.

Cass Sunstein is currently the head of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs. The head of the 'Office of Information' How very Orwellian!

In 2008, while at Harvard Law School, Sunstein co-wrote a truly pernicious paper proposing that the U.S. Government employ teams of covert agents and pseudo-"independent" advocates to "cognitively infiltrate" online groups and websites -- as well as other activist groups -- which advocate views that Sunstein deems "false conspiracy theories" about the Government.  This would be designed to increase citizens' faith in government officials and undermine the credibility of conspiracists.  The paper's abstract can be read, and the full paper downloaded, here.

Sunstein advocates that the Government's stealth infiltration should be accomplished by sending covert agents into "chat rooms, online social networks, or even real-space groups."  He also proposes that the Government make secret payments to so-called "independent" credible voices to bolster the Government's messaging (on the ground that those who don't believe government sources will be more inclined to listen to those who appear independent while secretly acting on behalf of the Government).

I am hoping you get the idea? The intention is to censor alternative opinions.
How does Mr Sunstein propose this censorship take place?

"Employ teams of covert agents and pseudo-"independent" advocates to "cognitively infiltrate" online groups and websites -- as well as other activist groups -- which advocate views that Sunstein deems "false conspiracy theories"

Clearly, China is not alone in the great game of censorship. So what gives?
Makes one wonder because the revenue stream is quite good for Google in China. They are not number one as in the US market, but they aren't hurting. So why would they take such a revenue hit?

After reading this part (quoted below) in differing articles I had to wonder if Google had embroiled itself in the great game of political intrigue on behalf of the west?

Google.cn is favoured by students and the middle class, the agents of social and political change. If the Communist leadership wasn't worried about its hold on power as economic growth transforms the nation, it wouldn't go to such lengths to block information.
As you have read, China isn't the only country engaged in censorship. Is there another motivation behind the threatened pullout? Could Google be engaging in stirring the pot of dissension in China. Is Google being used as a tool of subversion? Or actively engaging in subversion?

If censorship is really the issue, where in the world could Google actually conduct business?

Could the Taliban be genetically linked to the Jews

Can you believe that question? If it wasn't from Haaretz, I would be asking what the hell?
OK, fessin' up here I am still asking, what the hell? Give it a read entirely at the link, excerpt below.

Israel has asked an Indian geneticist to study the link between the Indian Pathans tribe and certain tribes of Israel, the Times of India reported this week.

Geneticist Shahnaz Ali has been asked to study the link between the Afridi Pathans, based in the Lucknow region of India, and certain tribes of Israel who migrated across Asia thousands of years ago.

Some experts attribute Israel's decision to fund the research to a theory supported by many that Afghanistan's Pashtun fighters, the community from which the Taliban draw their strength, are descendants of Afridi Pathans.
This is not the first time speculations of a deep rooted connection between the two seemingly unrelated people have been raised, yet this is the first time Israel's Foreign Ministry has offered to fund the research.

More 2010 Olympic terror news maybe potential provocateurs

Maggie had posted this bit earlier today from a Canadian news source CTV
Here it comes... False Flag Olympics

I got this from Meria Heller today... so the Canadian and American public is being subjected to more fear inducing news stories, with a twist.
Source says terrorist threat extends beyond aviation

So if an attack happens, potentially a false flag attack, it will not come via aviation.

Olympic concerns
The U.S. Government remains concerned about the sustained international terrorists threats directed against U.S. citizens and interests abroad.
While there have been no specific, credible terrorist threats to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games, the threat from terrorist groups at major public events is always a principal concern.
Officials are concerned that, as security increases around Olympic venues, terrorists could shift their focus to more unprotected Olympic venues, such as hotels, public transportation systems, churches, restaurants, etc.

This got me thinking, something I do alot. The Vancouver Olympics have been protested by many. And the protestors have been harassed by the RCMP.
CSIS has been in on the action too. CSIS watching "extremist" Olympic protesters
Note: propaganda against the anti-2010 resistance.
Canada's spy agency has been monitoring anti-Olympic activities for more than a year and found the strongest opposition to the athletic event to be among "the more extreme elements" of First Nations groups, particularly in alliance with anti-poverty groups.

You can't make better stuff up then that now can ya? Native and anti-poverty groups as extremists!
Sort of brings the point home that the terrorist, in the eyes of the government, is the citizen who opposes, who stands up, who protests.

Makes you wonder, the "terrorists' being referred to as Alquaeda, are they really the citizens who oppose, who protest and who stand up?
Are we looking at provocateurs, agent provocateurs? Secret agent or agents who incite suspected or targetted persons to commit illegal acts, in amongst the protestors?
Then I recalled a video, I had seen earlier that contained an interesting bit of info from an acitivist on the use of provocateurs. Find that video here

Swine flu and the politics of pandemics: Ukraine and the World

Though seemingly unrelated they aren't. I am hoping the memory of the political shenanigans surrounding both of the events is still fresh in the mind?

At present  the Ukraine Elections are bound to see the Orange revolution set like the sun, as well it should.
It was not a true democratic, people power revolution  as many think, but a fomented western revolution.
It's leader Victor Yuschenko, in my humble opinion, likely lost the previous election.(As it went to an unprecedented 3 rounds)  How to "win" an election? Keep holding them until the desired results are attained ? The vote fraud was more then likely commited by Yuschenko's western benefactors for his benefit. Anytime I have perused the Ukrainian news, he has not been a very popular fellow. Always polling very low. In April 2009 he was polling around 3%, yes you read that right 3%!

As of today, the news out of the Ukraine is looking as if the candidate, that most likely truly did win the previous election is going to win. Polls indicate Viktor Yanukovych will be the winner.
A Kiev International Institute of Sociology poll indicated Yanukovych would capture 30 percent of the vote in the first round and 43 percent in the second round. His closest competitor, Yulia Tymoshenko, would get 16 percent in the first round and 29 percent in a run-off and incumbent Viktor Yushchenko would garner 3.5 percent in the first round, the survey conducted in December indicated

Interesting to note, this poll is placing Yulia Tymoshenko in 3rd place.
-Ukrainian prime minister and presidential candidate Yulia Tymoshenko is in third place just days before an election takes place in the country
-Former economy minister Serhiy Tyhypko is in second place with 14.4 per cent, up 3.4 points since December.
-Former Ukrainian prime minister Viktor Yanukovych remains the favourite to win the first round with 30.5 per cent.

And yet, with Yulia polling so badly. Yulia says she will contest the election results?
How is this even possible that she would contest? I am hoping this is bravado on her part. But, can't help but wonder if the west is behind her bold proclamations?

Leading up to the Ukraine elections, one may recall much talk about the swine flu pandemic taking a turn for the worse in that country and the politicians, in particular Yulia, using it as advantageously as possible.
Now of course, that news has fallen to the wayside.
As has the whole swine flu scare.
Well almost...the scenario of government in cahoots with pharmaceutical companies would use and abuse swine flu hysteria for political purposes didn't just manifest in the Ukraine alone.
Sadly, that scenario was the real world wide pandemic!

Swine flu has indeed been in the news as of late, but not because it has mutated or is raging away. Nothing like that at all.
What has been making the rounds regarding swine flu is very interesting
Ministers preparing to offload vaccines- Britian
Millions of pounds could be wasted if the Government is unable to get out of orders for the vaccine it has placed with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), the pharmaceutical giant.
Officials confirmed that they are considering a number of options, including attempting to sell or give away millions of the vaccines.
-360 people across Britain have died after contracting swine flu since April.

France selling off surplus vaccine

France ordered 94 million doses of the vaccine,  only 5 million of the swine flu vaccine doses have been administered in the country.
-In France 200 people died of the swine flu, many times less than that every year die of ordinary flu.

This dumping of vaccines is playing out in other coutries. Germany, Switzerland and Holland to name a few additional countries

There is much talk of collusion between governments, WHO and pharmaceutical companies.
So much so, that an investigation has been launched.

EU to probe pharma over “false pandemic”

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) is to hold an emergency debate and inquiry this month into the “influence” exerted by drugmakers on the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) global H1N1 flu campaign.

The text of the resolution approved by the Assembly calling for the debate and inquiry states that: “in order to promote their patented drugs and vaccines against flu, pharmaceutical companies influenced scientists and official agencies responsible for public health standards to alarm governments worldwide and make them squander tight health resources for inefficient vaccine strategies, and needlessly expose millions of healthy people to the risk of an unknown amount of side-effects of insufficiently tested vaccines.”

The WHO’s “false pandemic” flu campaign is “one of the greatest medicine scandals of the century,” according to Dr Wolfgang Wodarg, chairman of the PACE Health Committee, who introduced the parliamentary motion. “The definition of an alarming pandemic must not be under the influence of drug-sellers,” he adds.

I couldn't agree more, but will this investigation be hard-hitting or a whitewash?
I lean towards a whitewash, but stranger things have been know to happen.

Brain Controlled Devices or Brain Control Devices?

Hmm, reading this article and noting the reference to the movie Avatar....

Researchers are already using brain-computer interfaces to aid the disabled, treat diseases like Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, and provide therapy for depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Work is under way on devices that may eventually let you communicate with friends telepathically, give you superhuman hearing and vision or even let you download data directly into your brain, a la "The Matrix."

Researchers are practically giddy over the prospects. "We don't know what the limits are yet," says Melody Moore Jackson, director of Georgia Tech University's BrainLab.

I hate to sound like luddite, but, keep in mind technology is a double edge sword..

-Much of the research focuses on neuroprosthetics, which offer a way for the brain to compensate for injuries and illness.

Not bad you say, but, then there is always this....

DARPA, the Pentagon's technology research division, is currently working on an initiative called "Silent Talk," which would let soldiers on secret missions communicate with their thoughts alone. This stealth component is attractive, but naysayers fear that such soldiers could become manipulated for evil means.

Soldiers manipulated for evil means, imagine the possibilities.
Also, having others read your thoughts....the end of privacy entirely.

I worry about our blind adoration of all these electronics, we may lose our humanity and end up just another machine.
