Syria& Libya: Muslim Brotherhood, WMD's for the UN & Viagra! Yes, you read that right ! Viagra.

I had a story bookmarked headline screamin'- Muslim Brotherhood Backs Syrian Protests.
Then the headline and most of the story changed. Dam! Some of the stories were completely gone!
Nothing says western infiltration like the Muslim Brotherhood endorsing an uprising in a nation that the west is targeting.
So timely and convenient
Still I found some stories carrying the old header and original news
Muslim Brotherhood Backs Syrian Protesters

The Muslim Brotherhood issued a statement Friday encouraging Syrian protesters to press on with their demonstrations. Syrian activists have called for a "Day of Rage" following Friday's Muslim prayers.

The Muslim Brotherhood -- now empowered in Egypt following the overthrow of former President Hosni Mubarak's regime -- was outlawed in 1982 by then Syrian President Hafez al-Assad, father of current president, Bashar al-Assad, after staging an uprising.

Interesting to note the mention of the fact that the Muslim Brotherhood is "empowered" in Egypt? I wonder if the Egyptian people are aware of this?

Now that I have gotten that out of the way, let's move on to the next move at the UN Security Council-

As I mentioned in yesterday's post, the claim is being made that Syria might, could possibly have been, building a nuclear power plant- 4 years ago , that Israel may have bombed in 2007. The WMD card is being played. A worn out card. Paper thin. Thinking people cannot continue to accept this manipulation.

The WMD angle is a yawner- But, that won't stop the US.

The International Atomic Energy Agency is setting the stage for potential U.N. Security Council action against Syria as the organization prepares a report assessing that a Syrian target bombed by Israeli warplanes was likely a secretly built nuclear reactor meant to produce plutonium

Such a conclusion would back intelligence produced by Israel and the United States.

Har dee har har. "Intelligence produced by Israel and the US" This would mean fabrications.

Think Iraq.

From here

Three diplomats and a senior U.N. official said such an assessment -- drawn up by IAEA chief Yukiya Amano -- would be the basis of a Western-sponsored resolution at a meeting of the 35-nation IAEA board that condemns Syria's refusal to co-operate with the agency and kicks the issue to the U.N. Security Council.

Think Iraq

The first move at the UN failed. The US has a second and third move already planned. I have already addressed the second one- WMD's. Onto the third.....

The US is pushing the Human Rights Council to do some "investigating" but were/are playing hot and heavy politics with India. Attempting to stack the deck in their favour.

Syria is set to pose the next Libya question for India with the United States wanting New Delhi’s help to see Damascus out of the race for a seat in the UN Human Rights Council.

India is part of what’s called a “clean slate arrangement” with Syria, Indonesia and Philippines — this requires no voting for the four seats in the council to be filled from the Asian region.

It’s learnt that Washington wants New Delhi to support its efforts at finding a fresh candidate. While Syria is unlikely to back down on its own, sources said, the US wants a fifth Asian country to stake claim so that the “clean slate” arrangement is broken and voting will be necessitated to select the final four.

In fact, the US is in talks with several countries, including Nepal, to become a contestant.

Let's take a skip over to Libya- where Libyan forces have fought the rebels all the way into Tunisia!
Libyan forces chase rebels into Tunisia, clash

-Libyan troops chased rebel fighters across the border with Tunisia and clashed with them.
The spillover of the Libyan conflict into Tunisia introduced a further complication into more than two months of fighting with shifting front lines. The Dhuheiba border crossing between Libya and Tunisia has been a flashpoint in recent days. The crossing has been changing hands repeatedly between rebels and regime forces.

The rebel forces, we were lead to believe were so huge, are very clearly paltry. At best. The western media has been spinning the Libyan situation as a major uprising, when it has been nothing of the sort. Same for Syria.

Thanks to Buffy/Magdelena for this one! Straight up trash. Viagra and a Pack of Lies
The U.S. envoy to the United Nations told the Security Council on Thursday that troops loyal to Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi were increasingly engaging in sexual violence and some had been issued the impotency drug Viagra, diplomats said.

I wonder how the pharmaceutical company that makes Viagra is enjoying that bit of associative advertising ? Viagra and Rape?? Susan Rice is that desperate for spin?
When you get propaganda on this level, you gotta know regime change ain't goin' well in Libya!

Spinning to justify an attack on Syria "Syria tried to build a nuclear power plant"

Bullshit alert!

In my previous post I reported that China and Russia said NO at the UN.
Admittedly this news has got me freaked out, quite a bit.
For reasons that should seem obvious.
I went over to Flogging Dead Horses and left this comment for Chuckyman

chuckyman:
feeling a bit freaked out here.
Russia and China said NO to censuring Syria at the UN.

have they drawn the line in the sand?

To which the response was-

Hi Penny. I haven’t heard that one. It is not surprising in light of our discussion re Russia’s naval presence in the Mediterranean. The Chinese are bound to be stinging from the loss of a considerable business investment in Libya.
We shall see how the bullies in the Pentagram react. Will the EU/NATO try to flex their muscles?

Chuckyman and others, the next move is being made. It is typical. We have seen it a number of times. The West/NATO must have had this propaganda/perception management campaign ready to go. With the help of their stooge at the IAEA. (I covered that here)

The story is getting big coverage in Israel, no surprise there. I will link you to all the stories as of this moment that are covering this "news"

IAEA chief: Syria tried to build nuclear reactor -AP

Syria secretly tried to build nuclear reactor, UN watchdog says-Ha'aretz

IAEA chief: Syria tried to secretly build nuclear reactor JP

Syria 'tried to build reactor'
Also here, here and here

How timely!
Very well timed news releases (spin, propaganda, perception management)

IAEA secretary general unequivocally confirms suggestions made in previous watchdog reports that the structure hit allegedly by Israel in 2007.

Contradicting their earlier assessments
Previous IAEA reports have suggested that the structure hit could have been a reactor
Interesting-

Syria, which denies any nuclear weapons ambitions, agreed with the IAEA the months prior that its inspectors could travel to the Homs acid purification plant.

So Syria had been cooperative-

The IAEA saw the April visit as a possible positive step, even though the United States said the gesture would not be enough to address allegations of covert atomic activity.

This news story gives a different take on what the IAEA stooge said.

The facility destroyed by Israel in Syria was "a nuclear reactor under construction," but further analysis was in need.

The reactor under construction does not produce ... totally, but we need now to give further analysis on this issue," Amano confirmed.

I will remind readers- it is not illegal to build nuclear reactors, as much as I despise them.
Japan is chock full of them. So is the US, Britain, France, Canada....you get the idea.

Therefore the spin that Syria may have been building a nuclear power plant is being put out there at this exact time, to plant the seed of WMD's in the minds of the gullible

I will try to find an older post/posts on Russia's navel base in Syria.
Russia and Syria have cooperated on port expansion and more to ensure Russian access to the Mediterranean.

Found them!!!

Both posts are from nearly three years ago, find them here and here.

Syria: Russia & China vote No UN Censure, outside interference condemned, curious funeral march

nysoulcontrolla has left an interesting link, I don't want anyone to miss it.

A video from an alleged funeral march in Syria- notice anything about the coffins?

Anyone who has ever been a pallbearer would realize coffins and dead bodies are pretty heavy.
What to make of this?

This video is also interesting.

Obviously I cannot understand what is being said, but, I don't sense any fear or hostility between the parties. Residents and the Army. Very different then the western media spin.

Also-

Attempts by the US and it's western allies to censure Syria failed.
Russia & China (also Lebanon) vote No.
I was wondering when it was going to come to this, what it was going to take.

Russia, China and Lebanon have blocked a move for the UN Security Council to condemn Syria's crackdown on dissent.

Russia, China and Lebanon, who have criticized the U.S. and NATO-led air campaign in Libya, simply were not on board.

Here is what Russia had to say- Interference in Syria Could Lead to a Civil War

RUSSIA on Wednesday warned western powers on the UN Security Council against 'outside interference' in Syria's strife saying it could spark civil war in the key Middle East Nation.

The Syrian government's crackdown on opposition demonstrators 'does not represent a threat to international peace and security,' Russia's deputy UN ambassador Alexander Pankin told the 15-nation council.

'A real threat to regional security could come from outside interference,' Mr Pankin added. 'Such approaches lead to a never ending circle of violence' and could spark civil war.

Could lead to a civil war! I would think this is exactly what the west has been aiming for with their actions. They want a civil war. As in Libya. So they can justify their invasion as a necessary "humanitarian intervention"

Take a good look at this picture from the above linked article-

Notice they are not English?
Notice the pictures behind them? They support their leadership.
Here is what is what the signs read, according to the article

The Arabic placards from left to right read:" Freedom is the freedom of the nation and the citizen, No to security solutions, yes to dialogue. No to fanatic and backward forces. You have damaged and harmed the demands of the people in Libya, we will not allow to sabotage things in Syria, No to foreign interference no to France, no to Germany and No to America, Syria the resistance plus Syria the democracy equals a strong Syria"

These people are clearly saying no to the fanatical forces that have been behind the uprising.
"Fanatic and backward forces" The Muslim brotherhood, the Salafists, two western co-opted movements.
They are saying NO to the Security Council. No to the UN. No to the West. They don't want to be the next Libya.

Radiation Readings at Fukushima rise to their HIGHEST level

One more today, way to important to miss.

Especially in light of the non-existent mainstream coverage.
Has anyone besides myself noticed Fukushima is off the radar?
As much as that disaster is continuing to harm us all, to radiate us, to increase our cancer and leukemia risks ....it is as if it doesn't exist.

"Radiation readings at Japan’s Fukushima Dai-Ichi station rose to the highest since an earthquake and tsunami knocked out cooling systems"

Radiation readings are at their highest levels since this began!

"since an earthquake and tsunami knocked out cooling systems"

Correction:

What knocked the cooling systems out and caused the meltdowns was a lack of power, a lack of electricity flow that enabled the cooling systems to work. Had the electricity stayed on, the cooling systems should have worked.

This is the problem the msm never wants you to know, never wants you to be aware of.
Power outages occur without earthqakes, without tsunamis, a simple thunderstorm can cut off power.

Two robots sent into the reactor No. 1 building at the plant yesterday took readings as high as 1,120 millisierverts of radiation per hour,

That is just from Fukushima # 1

Four of six reactors have been damaged by explosions. The cores in reactors 1, 2 and 3 and the spent fuels rods in reactor 4 have been damaged.

If you have been following along you already know that three reactors were in meltdown and
# 2 had gone beyond it's containment and through to the floor below.

Radiation readings rise to their highest levels ever since this disaster began.

47 days of continuous poisonings.
47 days of radiation in the ocean, on the ground, in the air, contaminating everything.
47 days of government/business/msm obfuscation

One last thing, this is a most interesting resource: Alexander Higgins Blog

Namaste- Humanity recognizing Humanity

I borrowed this info from Blade Runner over @Apocalypse Wave

Here is what the Blade Runner wrote
What does a real man do when faces with a threat to his person and his livelihood? He shows no fear and defends himself. See below. What does a real man do when begged for mercy? He shows mercy. See below. What does a real man do when asked to share his faith? See below.

Mohammad Sohail, A REAL MAN.

It is good for us all to be reminded, that in amongst all the evil, all the hurt, the war and misery that an evil segment of humanity delivers via their manipulations of and to the masses...

Acts of kindness and humbleness still exist.

A reminder to us all that we can turn a bad situation into good, by recognizing that we are all human beings, living, breathing and sentient.

Syria's Infiltration: Can it get more obvious?

'Let Israel come and take Syria'

As Syrian security forces step up crackdown against demonstrators, desperate citizens plead for international intervention. 'Let the Jews come – anything is better than Bashar Assad,' says Daraa resident

Says "Daraa Resident"?? An unnamed Daraa resident.
So. Is this person even in Daraa? Is this person really a resident?
Is this a plant? Or is the whole story pure perception management?

Whichever it is, the above 'news' story makes clear their are outside forces trying to put Syria to ruin.

Still there is more, besides possible plants or out and out propaganda.

An interesting news article here

Several cities in southern Syria, including the capital Damascus, witnessed gunmen attacks at people and properties which caused dozens of casualties during the Friday mass protests.
Masked gunmen on motorcycles or in cars shot indiscriminately at people and attacked guards at the Ezra town in the southern province of Daraa on Friday, leaving eight people killed and 28 others wounded, SANA quoted an official source as saying.
The Syrian army retaliated, killing eight gunmen, and chased the rest who ran away, according to the source.
Two policemen were killed and 11 others wounded, including two officers, when they were attacked by gunmen in Damascus and the central province of Homs.

Didn't we read this same type of news coming out of Libya just prior to the NATO intervention to 'save' civilians? Yes. Yes, we did, March 1st/2011.
A group calling itself "Islamic Emirate of Barka", the former name of the North-Western part of Libya, has taken numerous hostages, and killed two policemen. This is not a recent development. On Friday, the 18th of February, the group stole 70 military vehicles after attacking a port and killing four soldiers.'
Where did these people come from?
The answer is that the same groups the US has been funding for decades are now taking their chance to gain control over the nation. A group recently arrested in Libya consisted of dozens of foreign nationals that were involved in numerous acts of looting and sabotage.

We now know that the CIA and British, probably Israeli Intelligence, had been playing an active role in supporting the so called opposition in Libya.
Either through funding, providing weapons or training the opposition that was targeting and killing soldiers, police officers and taking hostages.

“small groups of C.I.A. operatives have been working in Libya for several weeks as part of a shadow force of Westerners that the Obama administration hopes can help bleed Colonel Qadhafi's military.”

Therefore, there is absolutely no reason to disbelieve the reports out of Syria of gunmen attacking people and property in Syria.

The Empire of 'the City" The Jekyll/Hyde Nature of the British Government

While reading over @ Flogging Dead Horses yesterday, the esteemed Chuckyman mentioned a book he was reading that he found most informative.
Here is what he said-
"I’m currently reading the Hidden Empire of “The City” by EC Knuth. It was published in 1945 and is an astonishing expose of the Rothschilds, the City of London and the brutal power plays of the 150 years prior to WWII.

It really should be compulsory reading. Every single one of the Major Powers was invested in dismembering and exploiting China. The Japanese get all the bad press in the history books but were willing allies and clients in pursuit of the British agenda.

Any uprising by the Chinese nationalists was decimated. The Boxer rebellion in 1900 was one such occasion. General Chiang Kai-shek’s nationalists revolted in 1927/28 and the Japanese launched the Manchurian conquest to suppress them with Rothschild/British backing in 1931."

Me, I am a book lover.

"hi chuckyman:

that book sounds like a must read"
So I had to run off and see if I could find this book Chuckyman was enjoying.

And, I did.
You all can find that book here.

The Empire of 'the City" The Jekyll/Hyde Nature of the British Government

"The City" = City of London?
I guess we will all have to read the book and find out.

Iran uncovers SECOND cyber attack! A "star" is born.

This time it is the 'Stars' virus.

Star of David?

Stars and Stripes?

Star of Bethlehem?

Interesting name.....

Read here-
Iran is once again under cyber attack

Iranian experts have found another computer virus called Stars in the local internet network, chairman of the Passive Defense Organization of Iran Gholam Reza Jalali, has announced, Trend reports.

According to him, at the moment specialists are studying the virus. Research results will be announced in the next days.

In July 2010 a Stuxnet virus attacked industrial computers worldwide, while its main target was the Iranian nuclear power plant in Bushehr.

Or here: After Stuxnet, a 'Star' is born

Security scribe Robert Lemos is chasing this one down for us, but at this point all we have to go by is this article from the Reuters news service:

Iran has been targeted by a second computer virus in a "cyber war" waged by its enemies, its commander of civil defence said on Monday. Gholamreza Jalali told the semi-official Mehr news agency that the new virus, called "Stars", was being investigated by experts.

"Fortunately, our young experts have been able to discover this virus and the Stars virus is now in the laboratory for more investigations," Jalali was quoted as saying. He did not specify the target of Stars or its intended impact.

"The particular characteristics of the Stars virus have been discovered," Jalali said. "The virus is congruous and harmonious with the (computer) system and in the initial phase it does minor damage and might be mistaken for some executive files of government organizations."

Jalali warned that the Stuxnet worm, discovered in computers at Iran's Bushehr nuclear reactor last year, still posed a potential risk. Some experts described it as the world's first "guided cyber missile", aimed at Iran's atomic program.

Iranian officials said they had neutralised Stuxnet before it did the intended damage to its nuclear facilities

Salafists: Killing Vittorio, firing rockets into Israel & causing unrest in Syria. Who benefits?

Having been short on time this past week, it has been easier to throw up quick posts and run.
So I hope, justice can be done to this bit of news.

The murder of the Italian activist.

His mother said -

"Israel would not have her activist son when he was alive, and they would not have him now that he is dead"

Powerful

What was it about Israel's treatment of her son, that would make her utter those words?

Now, another video. Let's start with the problems

The alleged killers belong to a Salafist group or Salafis.
The Salafists of Gaza denied the killing.
That would seem to me to make a lot of sense.
This young Italian was obviously wildly popular amongst the Palestinian people. He was very much allied with them and their cause. He went to great trouble to help them and that help was obviously, greatly appreciated.
So, who killed him? Who would want him killed?

..............Keep in mind what his mother said.............

Curiously enough police are on the look out for a Salafist from Jordan. These Salafists are also linked to Al Quaeda

Salafists from Jordan, linked to Al Quaeda?

This is problematic, because if one has been following along in the great game of false flags, this would appear to be a co-opted group of people.

Co-opted by western intelligence, Israeli, US, British... all of them? One of them? Doesn't matter.

Killing Vittorio would certainly allow Israel, a nation that relies heavily on propaganda, to demonize the Palestinians and their cause.
Israel, also has quite a history of killing activists, or at the very least beating them, kidnapping them. Think of the flotilla murders. Think of Rachel Corrie. There are more, but, that should be enough for you to grasp the concept I am putting forth

So Vittorio's murder is certainly advantageous to Israel. And they have been using this tragedy to their advantage.

....................Keep in mind what his mother said....................

Now, let's get to our Jordanian Salafist

Jordanian officials on Sunday said an investigation has been opened into reports of a Jordanian salafi being involved in the slaying of Italian activist Italian activist Vittorio Arrigoni. Security sources said the government is currently collecting information on the incident after it was reported of possible involvement of a Jordanian salafi.

Jordan is looking into one of theirs being involved. I am certain they are not looking too hard into it.

Anyway..... Salafists are not the most welcome bunch in Gaza.

"''Salafis are suffocated by Hamas in Gaza. They can not make a move without Hamas watching over them, mostly after placing most of its leaders in jail''

There could be a very good reason for that according to this news report

Hamas ceased firing rockets " However, the Salafists and other small groups continued to fire rockets."
Acknowledged here also

The Salafists fire rockets into Israel.

The rockets provide Israel with the pretext needed to enter Gaza and kill Palestinians.
Who does that benefit?

Are these the same Salafists, linked to Jordan, that killed Vittorio?
It would seem possible. The actions they take seem to benefit Israel and harm Palestine.

Interestingly these Salafists show up somewhere else? Let's call it another curious location. Taking actions that are beneficial to others, not those they claim to be acting for.

Salafists are present in the "uprising" in Syria

But what's going on now, what we could see yesterday in homes and other cities - in [Pisa], Baniyas or in parts of Daraa - are Salafi groups. These Salafi groups in the Syrian society are very small groups because Syrian society is generally in the middle of Islam. In Syria, extremism is generally not accepted and because of that we are talking about foreign factors reflected in the Syrian unrest.

Now, these Salafi groups are used as a tool by some foreign factors for example by the United States, [Saudi Arabia's] Bandar bin Sultan and some parts in Lebanon, to realize some plans against the foreign policy of Syria.

The people [who cause upheavals], the Syrian Salafis, are not from Syrian society.

Geez, could they be Jordanian? How about Saudi Arabian?

We are talking about different parties participating in these conspiracies. We can watch these different groups. The first group is the corrupted people inside Syria.

The second group is the Salafi group who is being supported by [Saudi Arabia's] Bandar bin Sultan, the American CIA and [Israel's] Mossad.

The Salafist movement.
Seems to have been co-opted & corrupted. Perhaps not all are aware, but enough are.

Clearly, many of them are engaged in political agendas that will harm certain nations & certain peoples, at the behest of outside interests

Dave McGowan back- The Lincoln Series?

A quick note to let the Dave McGowan fans know, Dave is back on Meria, and I am just going to get into listening to the newest show.

A Debate on the Future of Nuclear Energy Between Anti-Coal Advocate George Monbiot and Anti-Nuclear Activist Dr. Helen Caldicott

I am unsurprised to note that George Monbiot frames the entire debate in nuclear vs coal.
Creating a false paradigm. (Think of the phony right vs left ideology)
As if there are no other options. Such as conservation

Therefore.. I come away with the impression that he is adhering to a political agenda. Then he goes on to "climate change" deniers, which is a nonsensical, as the climate always has changed and always will change. Is Mr Monbiot unaware of earths climatic history?
The video is about 25 minutes long.

Morgan Stanley defaults on Tokyo Property

This is interesting & curious. I am not quite sure what to make of this news?
First, thanks to John @ Paintings Art Etc. for passing it along. It was originally posted by a blogger Sherrie Questioning All.

This is the original news story -Morgan Stanley fund fails to repay debt on Tokyo property

A Morgan Stanley property fund failed to make $3.3 billion in debt payments by a deadline on Friday, handing over the keys to a central Tokyo office building to Blackstone (BX.N) and other investors, the largest repayment failure of its kind in Japan.

It marks the latest fallout from a series of highly leveraged investments by Morgan Stanley (MS.N), one of the most aggressive investors in worldwide property markets before the global financial crisis.

The $4.2 billion MSREF V real estate fund missed its April 15 deadline to repay 278 billion yen($3.3 billion) worth of debt packaged in commercial mortgage-backed securities on the 32-storey Shinagawa Grand Central Tower, a property which has seen its value plunge, two people involved in the transaction said.

They spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the matter.

A Morgan Stanley spokeswoman in Tokyo declined to comment. A New York based spokesman for Blackstone, which holds the most junior portion of the debt and gains the right to market the building for seven months, was not immediately available for comment.

This is the largest repayment failure of debt packaged in CMBS in Japan, according to analysts and industry experts, bigger than the 112 billion yen that real estate investor K.K. daVinci Holdings failed to pay on the Pacific Century Place office building.

MSREF V bought the Shinagawa property for 140 billion yen in 2004 from Mitsubishi Corp (8058.T) and Mitsubishi Motors (7211.T). The building now houses Microsoft's Japan offices among other tenants.

Morgan Stanley repackaged the loans into 125 billion yen worth of CMBS in 2005, according to a website for Morgan Stanley.

Taking advantage of a run-up in property prices, MSREF V refinanced its debt on the Shinagawa property in 2007 with new debt worth 278 billion yen, twice the value of its purchase and likely yielding a tidy profit for the fund.

The refinanced debt was sold in six different tranches by Morgan Stanley to investors.

Was this due to the Fukushima catastrophe? Is this just another part of the mortgage backed securities scam? Bundling debt and selling it, that went sour? Is Morgan Stanley in some sort of major trouble? Requiring another bail-out?

Interesting and puzzling.

Libya: Ground troops coming. Chinese construction and modernization going

Getting back to Libya-

Get ready for boots on the ground. You knew that was coming, right?
The aerial bombing was just the beginning. Targetting civilians and infrastructure was the prelude to the all out slaughter, that will be conducted by the NATO troops.

The EU is willing to send 1,000 troops into Libya, if the UN requests it, for humanitarian purposes.

But, this has nothing to do with "humanitarianism"

The European Union has outlined a provisional plan that could include sending European troops to the besieged Libyan city of Misurata to protect aid deliveries if requested by the United Nations, although U.N. officials say they want to explore civilian options first.

A point that is clearly understood by the UN, that said, the UN will follow along with the agenda.

It is also being reported that Britain is sending "advisers" joining the "diplomats" that are already present. Seriously "advisers" and "diplomats"
I can't make this stuff up. Quoting directly here.

Wondering...by diplomats do they mean "diplomats" like Ray Davis in Pakistan?
Really contractors for intelligence agencies.
Let's see-
Early March it was, with much embarrassment being reported in the British Press that
SAS and MI6 officers were indeed in Libya, and were in fact captured

The group's capture is a major embarrassment to the British government and could potentially undermine the rebels' claims that the revolution has had solely domestic roots

Oops.

That bunch was freed by the Libyan military. We can be quite sure there were more then just those few. So, it would be safe to say that the "advisers" being sent to Libya to join the "diplomats" is just a nice sort of perception management way to say more soldiers and covert operatives are on their way!

A factor in this attack on Libya was of course their relationship with China.
If you did get to listen to the interview I posted yesterday, that point was made quite clear.
So the question is after Libya is destroyed by the west, where will that leave China?
For business and economic development for access to resources?

This article may give us an indication-

Because China has never imposed economic sanctions on Libya – and in fact the two countries once saw themselves as revolutionary allies, decades ago – Chinese companies were very active across the Libyan economy, from construction projects, to railways, to telecoms.

The full extent of that engagement has become clear as the companies involved have pulled out: China Railways Construction Corp, which suspended operations in Libya this week, had been building three rail projects there worth $4.2bn, the company said, of which $3.6bn has not been completed.

Meanwhile China State Engineering Corp has suspended a $2.7bn housing project, leaving it half finished, and is repatriating its workers. China’s largest dam builder, Sinohydro, is doing the same.

At least 27 Chinese construction projects have been attacked, according to the Ministry of Commerce. The workers involved in these projects have captured headlines back in China over the last week, as stories of their violent encounters with looters leaked out over the Internet.

I wonder who did the attacking? Was it the "rebels"? Or were they attacked by undercover "diplomats" and "advisers" from MI6 and the CIA?

Another news article on the Chinese workers attacked and looted

Nearly 1,000 Chinese workers there were forced out of the site and became homeless.
These workers were then attempting to walk 100's of kilometers to Tripoli, to take airplanes out of the country

"The construction workers then left the city on foot and were trying to walk towards Tripoli hundreds of kilometers away, hoping to catch a plane here to fly back to China, he said."

Pretty obvious that beside the agenda of Western multinational control and domination of Libya, this was a way to deny China access to resources

Farid Ghadry spins a tale, for a receptive audience

You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.
Attributed to Abraham Lincoln

You'll understand why I opened with that saying when you read through this post-

If you have been following along with the great game in the Middle East & North Africa you may recall my previous posts on how Syria looked to be the next targeted nation.

In the last post I put up, we all got to meet an obvious traitor to his people...
Fardi Ghadry

What role is this man, Fardi Ghadry, ready to play in Syria??

Ask yourself, is this man the western puppeted replacement for Syria.??
Notice he is making his debut in typical American political fashion? He is groveling to Israel.
If you doubted for a moment this man was the western puppeted replacement for Syria, doubt no more, this just keep getting more obvious. He dances to the string pulls!

Not only was this man previously grovelling to Israel, he is proclaiming his alleged knowledge to the world, via FrontPageMag.com

I hate to even link to such crap, but, you gotta read this perception management garbage for yourself, I can only stomach posting so much of it here

The Reform Party of Syria, a U.S.-based democratic opposition group, says that as of Monday, April 4, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps stationed in Syria (which it said is 10,000-strong) had gained authority over the efforts to put an end to the uprising.

A US based democratic opposition group??? How does this make a lick of sense? Shades of Iraq.

Of course Iran is demonized!

The RPS also says that the IRGC is responsible for footage of alleged attacks on Syrian security personnel that was shown on state television.

You see the bought and paid for western goons that have been attacking the Syrian security personnel are Iranian, according to the US based democratic group, led by a shill for regime change, with an agenda.

What a spin job, seriously, what kind of moron would believe this?

Assad is attributing the killing of protesters and security forces to armed gangs.
Hmmmm, what is that reminiscent of ? Libya, yes, Libya!

So I wonder who sent the armed gangs to Syria? Was it Israel? As was done in Libya.
Was it the US? Was it both?

“In essence, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps now occupies Syria and has become its de facto ruler. Syria has become the 32nd province of Iran,” Farid Ghadry of the Reform Party of Syria said in a press release.

Japanese government "orders" TEPCO to make compensation- Not.

So the good news is the Japanese government orders TEPCO to pay compensation to displaced families- pick your news

Wow, right ?!
The government ordering a corporation to take the right, decent and proper course of action.
Corporations never do what is right, decent or moral. Governments NEVER order corporations to do anything. Au contraire, governments take their orders from their corporate masters.

So let's take a look at what is really going on, shall we? Let us start with the headline of the last news story...
"Tepco To Compensate Nuclear Evacuees,Funding Uncertain"

Funding Uncertain? I don't think so!
The TEPCO funding to pay compensation to the displaced, as ordered by the Japanese government is coming from none other then.....
The Japanese government!

Geez, I called this one yesterday!

"One more thought crossed my mind, there is also the compensation, that will end up being paid for by the taxpayers!"

In the comment section.

Japan plans to set up a government-backed insurance fund to put money into Tokyo Electric Power and pay compensation stemming from the disaster at its Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, the Nikkei newspaper said.

Aimed at saving Tokyo Electric from collapse, the plan would have the state initially shoulder the massive compensation costs, which the power company would then repay over several years via special dividends, the paper said.

TEPCO will not pay this back, ever.

"The bottom line is, TEPCO is too big to fail," said Jason Rogers, a credit analyst at Barclays Capital in Singapore.

Where have we heard this line before? The banks are rubbing their greedy, grimy blood stained, misery inducing paws together, while drooling over the thought of all that interest.

Belated Anniversay Wishes to the CIA/Mk-Ultra Program

Ok, so I missed it by two days.....

April 13, 1953: CIA OKs MK-ULTRA Mind-Control Tests

1953: Central Intelligence Agency director Allen Dulles authorizes the MK-ULTRA project. The agency launches one of its most dubious covert programs ever, turning unsuspecting humans into guinea pigs for its research into mind-altering drugs.

In addition to drugs, the program included more than a hundred sub-projects that involved radiological implants, hypnosis and subliminal persuasion, electroshock therapy and isolation techniques.

More than 30 universities and institutions participated in CIA-funded research, though not all were aware the spy agency was their benefactor, because funding was sometimes laundered through shell organizations.

Under the guise of research, LSD, whose psychedelic properties were discovered by a Swiss chemist in 1943, was secretly administered to CIA employees, U.S. soldiers and psychiatric patients, as well as the general public.

Then there was Operation Midnight Climax-

” Hired prostitutes to slip the drug to unsuspecting clients, then watched through two-way mirrors as the clients tripped out. Also reportedly slipped the drug to patrons at bars and restaurants"

The Wired article is filled with half-truths and other spin. I am leaving that nonsense out.

Example: Wired claims that Operation Midnight Climax had one operative. Nonsense.
"One federal drug agent" Not possible. Given the number of brothels involved in more then one city.

They do refer to the murder of Frank Olson, with alot of might haves and maybes

Olson’s son had his father’s body exhumed and examined, that he discovered that his father might have actually died from a blunt force trauma to the head, which may have been received prior to his fall from the window.

Frank Olson was murdered.

Olson wasn’t the only casualty of the CIA’s drug tests. A tennis pro who had gone to the New York Psychiatric Institute for depression following a divorce fell into a coma and died. He’d been administered a derivative of mescaline. There were other cases of suspect deaths and lives left in ruin.

If you are interested in more information on this heinous program conducted on unwitting participants, there are documentaries in the side bar and reams of posts on the subject here.
Click the MKultra tag in the label box.

One more thing- Don't think for a minute MK ultra experimentation ever really ended

The Delusion of Planetary Stewardship- "Green" nuclear power- From Fukushima to Al Gore on Chernobyl & all points in between

Going to cover alot of ground here, from Fukushima, to Uranium mining to global warming, Al Gore and more. Just follow along....

Yesterday, while out walking , in the radioactive rainfall.
I watched the wildlife, going about their lives.
Robins pulling radioactive worms out of the ground. Flapping their wings in the radioactive puddles.
Woodpeckers, pecking into the radioactive rain soaked bark of the trees.
Squirrels rooting up the radioactive soil.
Hell, I even caught a wild turkey flying overhead, through the radioactive rain and landing not to far away from me.
Yes, they do fly.
Gee, can you tell what is on my mind?
While watching all the wildlife going about their lives, doing what they do to survive and thrive, I thought to myself- We are not good stewards of our planet. Not me specifically.
But in general, what a delusion the human race lives with. That somehow we are the stewards of the planet and it up to us to care for it.
We as a group can't even care for ourselves, let alone the earth.
My mind wanders , of course to Fukushima.

This story provided a perfect example of bad stewardship.

Nuclear Regulators Delay Study of Fukushima Lessons Until 2012

Nuclear powers ended a closed-door meeting by delaying for 16 months consideration of the failures that triggered the meltdown at Japan’s Fukushima Dai-Ichi plant.

So the "nuclear powers" behind closed doors delayed for 16 months giving any consideration to the failures, all the failures, so many failures that triggered the MELTDOWN at Fukushima.

Did you notice the word meltdown? Truth comes in little bits, here and there.

Just delay looking at it. Delay figuring out the failures. Yup, there is that delusion of stewardship I was referring to.

All the while Japan's nuclear clean up continues to unravel
"As officials admitted there may be too much radioactive water to pump out of the damaged power plant"
They have already put so much into the ocean. What are they going to do with all the rest?

Confirming that there were 20,000 tonnes of contaminated water to remove from the basement and tunnel next to reactor number 2 alone, Mr Nishiyama said: "We will transfer the water next to the central radiation disposal building. We do not have a plan beyond that."

No plan beyond that. They do not have a plan beyond that!

If we multiply the 20,000 tonnes of contaminated water number from reactor 2 alone, by 4, for the 4 reactors that are in vary stages of meltdown along with their spent fuel rods, we get 80,000 tonnes of radioactive water that TEPCO, IAEA, the Japanese government et al, have no plan for. No plan of what to do with the water. Can it be decontaminated? Can it be contained? Will it be dumped in the ocean? No plans.

Delusion of good stewardship of the planet.

Moving beyond Fukushima, to the myth of man-made global warming.
Oh, I do believe the globe can cool and it can warm. But the role man plays in that is minuscule. The Earth can and will heat up and cool down, as it has in the past many many times.
The planet will freeze us and over heat us, in it's own time, according to it's own cycle.
And we will live and die by that!

One of the sales pitches, the perception management narratives, given to us via the delusion of humanities good earth stewardship, has been the drive towards nuclear power as a "clean, green energy" to save us all from global warming.
As if !

Isn't it ironic that the push to save us all from 'man made global warming', which man is not a factor in, will lead us to death by radiation, cancer, leukemia, chromosomal damage, DNA mutations and more.

There has been one man, one man that stands out in the forefront of this sales pitch.
That man is Al Gore. Yes, Al Gore gave us that infamous piece of propaganda film and he got a Nobel prize too. All done, no doubt, to shore up the scam.

A face you can trust?

Al Gore has been a front man for the nuclear power industry for a long, long time.
He inherited the love of this toxic energy source and deadly weapons provider at the knee of his father Al Gore Sr.

You can find an interesting article here- Nuclear Saviours- Al Gore

A copy of the nuclear industry's Kyoto briefing book prepared by the Nuclear Energy Institute, a $100 million a year trade organization. The book was written by researchers at Bechtel, the giant construction firm that has built dozens of nuclear plants across the globe. The NEI book tactfully avoids the unsavory subject of radioactive waste.

It of course barely mentions the nuclear weapons racket.
Picture Al Gore as the smarmy pitchman for Nuclear power and the military industrial complex, and of course the big banks!

Why the banks?

The most obvious reason, nuclear power is not viable, it is costly and always heavily subsidized by the taxpayers.

To say nothing of the filth and misery caused by Uranium mining!

In order that taxpayers subsidies be paid to companies, such as Bechtel, to build these nuclear bombs that generate electricity, governments take on debt, from the private central bankers.

To put that more accurately governments at the behest of their corporate cronies indebt you and me, the taxpayer, unsuspecting of the real motives. Dupe! You will work for the rest of your life, pay taxes so everyone else rolls in the sweat of your labour in more ways then you realize!

It is a complete racket. Every which way you look at.

Nuclear power is not clean, it is not green, it is not efficient. It does not free us from the restraints of unbridled debt. It is a giant debt ball, attached to a giant radiating chain, dragging us all down down, to drown us in debt and radiation.

Al Gore is such a nuclear military industrial banker whore- here is a quote from him after the holocaust of Chernobyl.

“(T)he lesson of Chernobyl is not an indictment of nuclear power as such. Nuclear power, designed well, regulated properly, cared for meticulously, has a place in the world’s energy supply.”
Sure Al!

Fukushima is not Chernobyl, it is worse.

I want to put a temporary wrap on Fukushima. I am burnt out on the subject. It is a crisis and will continue to be a crisis for some time to come. It will effect us all, globally.
It will increase cancer, leukemia and other diseases, globally.
It will increase birth defects, globally.
Despite those realities, the main stream media and other powerful institutions give us all - spin.
The constant comparisons to Chernobyl. What is the point?
We have the talking heads assuring us this is no Chernobyl.

So I will tell you right now, to quote the words of my wise husband, this is not Chernobyl, it is Fukushima.

This is not one power plant-Chernobyl
It is FOUR nuclear reactors-Fukushima

This is not happening in a sparsely populated area.(Chernobyl)
This is taking place in an area that is densely populated.(Fukushima)

No MOX at Chernobyl!
MOX Fuel involved at Fukushima

Just one of the 4 plants at Fukushima, involved in varying stages of meltdown, that had an explosion is a MOX fuel plant. PLUTONIUM.
In fact a MOX reactor has never, ever, been involved in a nuclear catastrophe. Except for now, at this present time, at Fukushima. What are the ramifications of that? Unknown.

And all the spent fuel rods. What about them? The talking heads don't go there. I notice they talk spent fuel pools. Spent fuel pools are on fire, spent fuels pools have dried out.
What is in those spent fuel pools? Tons and tons of spent fuel rods! How much has burnt up? Melted down? How much radiation went straight up into the atmosphere when the MOX plant blew up, taking with it all of it's spent fuel rods??

How about if the western main stream media talks about that?

So you know what, Fukushima is not Chernobyl.
It is worse. On every count. It is worse.
More plants, more spent fuel rods, plutonium. I mean for cripes sakes!
And you know what else, 33 days have passed, 33 days of steady radiation emissions, into the air, into the soil and into the ocean. 33 DAYS with no end in sight.

To give you just an example here is a breaking news story-

Radiation surges above 4's fuel pool

Radiation has risen to high levels above the spent-fuel pool at reactor No. 4 and its temperature is rising, the nuclear safety agency said Wednesday, indicating the fuel rods have been further damaged and emitting radioactive substances.

As for the spent fuel pool at reactor no. 1?

The radiation level 6 meters above the spent-fuel storage pool at the crippled Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant was measured at 84 millisieverts per hour Tuesday. Normally, it's 0.1 microsievert

That is today my friends, today.
"It's quite an amount"

Tokyo Electric Power Co. was unsure whether the surge in radiation was being caused by the spent fuel rods or radioactive material leaking from the reactor's pressure vessel.

It just keeps on going and going...... is it the reactors, is it the spent fuel, is it all of it and they don't have a clue!?

Publisher offers FREE pdf- Cover Up: What you are not supposed to know about nuclear power & Keith Harmon Snow Interview

A small publisher, known as The Permanent Press, in light of the Fukushima nuclear catastrophe, is making available a free download of the book-

Cover Up: What You are Not Supposed to Know About Nuclear Power

It was a big seller for this outfit when it was first published in 1980 and again when a second addition was released in 1982

With recent uncertainty surrounding the safety not only of the nuclear reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station but of nuclear power in general, Grossman’s book is as important as ever, and The Permanent Press is issuing a third, updated edition for anyone who is interested in downloading a copy.

The publisher is not interested in making a nickel they want the info available to those interested in it.

"We’re not interested in making a nickel off Cover Up. Let William Morrow, an imprint of HarperCollins, make a profit from 20-year-old Bristol Palin’s ghost written Not Afraid of Life due out this summer. Our passion in publishing has always been the good feeling that comes from doing worthy books, which trumps profits any time.”

Early Review:
Grossman crams into this text facsimile documentation ordinarily found in appendixes. A growing phalanx of writers, including Nader, John Gofman, Commoner et al, have developed the evidence that peacetime nuclear power presents great hazards, immediate and long-term, on a world wide scale. Grossman describes (with excellent photos, drawings, etc.) how nuclear power works and how disasters can happen. From inside sources including statements by federal and corporate officials, he makes a strong case for the view that giant nuclear energy corporations have taken extreme measures to hide the shocking facts about nuclear power, and are now stalling development of other energy sources in order to protect their huge investments.”

I am definitely getting it!
If I may comment on how rare it is that a publisher would make such an offer, I was pleasantly surprised.

Now onto that interview-

Like Israel, Japan is a "secret" nuclear power.

I do want to expand on a line of thought that I have been rolling around in the brain for sometime now.
Let me start here by posting a comment I had made previously to James-

"We are supposed to believe that Japan has abstained from nuclear weapons...

Given that they are occupied by the US, for all intents and purposes.
I am having some serious doubts, serious doubts that Japan actually has no nukes.

I am actually starting to think they do and they are on the US bases.

In otherwords, Japan has the nuclear power plants to enable the manufacture of nuclear bombs that are present in Japan.

it is just a thought, but, one I have been tossing around in the brain for a while now."

As I have been following Fukushima and reading and listening to more information on nuclear power, then I ever thought I would. One common point kept coming up over and over and over.
That is the intimate link between nuclear power and the nuclear weapons industry.
They are fingers on the same hand.
I mean it is NOT a coincidence that GE designs and builds the reactors, is also a weapons maker. They also control a major chunk of media, but, I digress.

So how is it practical or logical that Japan, a nation chock full of nuclear power plants in a seismically active area (defying all common sense) does not have nuclear weapons?

I was starting to have some serious doubts about that piece of fiction!

Then Baphonet, leaves a link, to a really interesting piece. Thanks Baphonet!
Is Japan's Elite Hiding A Weapons Program Inside Nuclear Plants?
(linked to the original source)
Very interesting reading-

Kishi secretly negotiated a deal with the White House to permit the U.S. military to store atomic bombs in Okinawa and Atsugi naval air station outside Tokyo. (Marine corporal Lee Harvey Oswald served as a guard inside Atsugi's underground warhead armory.) In exchange, the U.S. gave the nod for Japan to pursue a "civilian" nuclear program.

Briefly- I went to check out this reference to Lee Harvey Oswald and Atsugi. I came across this video, covering a book written on the subject.
There is also an additional book available Atsugi Assassins
It has been written that Atsugi was home to the U-2 spy plane.
It was also home to a secret covert nuclear arsenal......

" For instance, few people know that Oswald's Marine squadron was stationed near a top secret atomic bomb facility on the Atsugi Naval Air Field in Japan, which also housed U-2 spy planes. "

As early as the late '50's Japan has been a nuclear/atomic bomb manufacturer. With the blessing of the US, clearly.

Secret diplomacy was required due to the overwhelming sentiment of the Japanese public against nuclear power in the wake of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombings. Two years ago, a text of the secret agreement was unearthed by Katsuya Okada, foreign minister in the cabinet of the first Democratic Party prime minister, Yukio Hatoyama (who served for nine months from 2009-10).

Many key details were missing from this document, which had been locked inside the Foreign Ministry archives. Retired veteran diplomat Kazuhiko Togo disclosed that the more sensitive matters were contained in brief side letters, some of which were kept in a mansion frequented by Kishi's half-brother, the late Prime Minister Eisaku Sato (who served from 1964-72). Those most important diplomatic notes, Togo added, were removed and subsequently disappeared.

These revelations were considered a major issue in Japan, yet were largely ignored by the Western media. With the Fukushima nuclear plant going up in smoke, the world is now paying the price of that journalistic neglect.

I did find two articles that mention the Japanese media reporting on these documents. Both have to do with the selection of the latest IAEA leader. A Curious selection? Or perhaps a reward? Or perhaps a necessity? One here and another linked below

From July 2009- Amano's election deepens Japan's nuclear paradox
After a long stalemate to choose a successor for outgoing director-general Mohamed ElBaradei, the IAEA's board of governors elected Japanese diplomat Amano Yukiya to the position by a single vote over the requisite two-thirds majority.

A single vote instead of the requisite two thirds majority?

It is particularly ironic that Amano's election immediately followed revelations by former administrative vice minister for foreign affairs Murata Ryohei about the existence of a "secret" pact between the US and Japan permitting the introduction of US nuclear weapons into Japan without prior consultation.

A "single sheet of paper," passed from administrative vice minister to administrative vice minister, which permitted the US to introduce nuclear weapons to Japan without prior consultation with the Japanese government, as was supposed to happen under the terms of a 1960 agreement concluded at the same time as the US-Japan mutual security treaty.

Which ties back into the nuclear program in 1959 and Lee Harvey Oswald.

Clearing the air on the precise nature of the US-Japan nuclear relationship in the past would be an important first step in debating that relationship going forward.

With Amano's timely selection to the IAEA the "air will never be cleared" on the exact nature of the US- Japan mutual security treaty. Nor the nuclear weapons issue.
Convenient!

Amano's selection as IAEA director-general may rule out major changes in Japan's nuclear posture for the duration of his term. It seems to me that it would be difficult for Japan to have the nuclear weapons debate desired by conservatives with a Japanese official the face of the global non-proliferation regime.
Really convenient.
No nuclear weapons debate with the selected Japanese diplomat in charge.

If you recall when Fukushima first blew the US sent a military team.
They also sent this interesting bunch.
U.S. Navy team will not participate in actions to stabilize the reactor at Fukushima, but will deal with identification and detection of chemical substances, monitoring the level of radioactivity and decontamination.
U.S. soldiers are not authorized to close in less than 80 kilometers of Fukushima

So they are not there to help with what is going on at Fukushima. Why are they present?
In fact Japan wanted military assistance. Why?

This reporting also piques my interest-

Fukushima and Japan’s comprehensive security: deja vu?

One of the more striking images coming out of Sendai is the partnership between the Japanese Self Defence Force (SDF) and the US military in ‘Operation Tomodachi’ (‘Operation Friendship’), emerging on the heels of recent military exercises.
This joint approach was initially envisaged as a response to a military attack on Japan. Instead, natural disaster has brought the two forces together. Although cooperation is strong now, questions arise as to whether the SDF’s attention will turn inward, and away from Operation Tomodachi, and perhaps whether the US will need to take a stronger lead role, which may lead to bilateral friction.

Anyone?

Before you think me daft, you had better think long and hard about the vital geo-strategic positioning of Japan. Vital, to keep North Korea and China on their toes.
While you ponder that thought.. how about this? If Japan was not already a nuclear power what would deter another nation from attack?
Some additional reading here (Thinking of all the plutonium from the nuclear power plants)

Tests were completed, however, to confirm that reactor grade plutonium could be used in a nuclear explosive and is therefore a nonproliferation concern. Some have said the Japanese reactor-grade plutonium would not be fully usable, but the US detonated a reactor-grade plutonium device in 1962

In 1970 US President Richard Nixon agreed to return Okinawa to Japan by 1972. At that time, Nixon pledged to recognize the "particular sentiment of the Japanese people against nuclear weapons" but reserved the right to consult with Tokyo over their reintroduction in an emergency.

This sentence indicates to me that nuclear weapons were definitely present prior to 1972 at Okinawa and that the US reserves the right to "reintroduce" the weapons in the event of an emergency.

On 17 June 1974, Japanese Prime Minister Tsutomu Hata told reporters that "it's certainly the case that Japan has the capability to possess nuclear weapons but has not made them."

Japan would not have material or technological difficulties in making nuclear weapons. Japan has the raw materials, technology, and capital for developing nuclear weapons.

On 31 May 2002, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yasuo Fukuda became the most senior Tokyo official to publicly discuss Japan's acquisition (production) of nuclear weapons. Fukuda said Japan's peace constitution did not preclude nuclear weapons.

Chernobyl: Consequences of the Catastrophe for People & the Environment

Of all the posts I have put here regarding Fukushima, I consider this the most important one. Though not directly about the nuclear meltdown in Japan, it is related and you will come away better informed.
Please, avail yourself of the information in it. Watch the video, read the review and download the book.

Avops over at -Musings of a Tired Soul, made the comment that knowledge is power.
To which I responded-
Knowledge is power, that is true.
But what use we put that knowledge to is of the utmost concern.
As you and I see the ptb's have lots of knowledge, but, they use it for evil.
We have to use ours for good.
To shine the light on their dark.

The information here is like a bright spotlight on the darkness and lies the government, media, nuclear industry and the military industrial complex are spewing as they decieve their way through the Fukushima disaster

First an interview with Dr. Alexey Yablokov. It is recent and though the interview is largely about Chernobyl, he speaks on Fukushima.
The interview is 35 minutes long. 35 minutes well spent.

Now onto a review of the book written by a woman he refers to in the video. A Canadian woman by the name of
Dr. Rosalie Bertell. Her review excerpted below-

Chernobyl: Consequences of the Catastrophe for People and the Environment is wrtitten by Alexey Yablokov, Vassily Nesterenk and Alexey Nesterenko. The senior author, Alexey Yablokov was head of the Russian Academy of Science under Gobachev – since then he receives no support. Vassily Nesterenko, head of the Ukrainian Nuclear establishment at the time of the accident, flew over the burning reactor and took the only measurements. In August 2009, he died as a result of radiation damage, but earlier, with help from Andrei Sakarov, was able to establish BELRAD to help children of the area.

The three scientists who assembled the information in the book from more than 5000 published articles and research findings, mostly available only within the former Soviet Union or Eastern block countries and not accessible in the West, are prestigious scientists who present objective facts clearly nuanced with little or no polemics. They were not encumbered by a desire to promote or excessively blame a failed technology

The government of the former Soviet Union previously classified many documents now accessible to the authors. For example, we now know that the number of people hospitalized for acute radiation sickness was more than a hundred times larger than the number recently quoted by the IAEA, WHO and UNSCEAR. Unmentioned by the technocrats were the problems of “hot particles” of burning uranium that caused nasopharyngeal problems, and the radioactive fallout that resulted in general deterioration of the health of children, wide spread blood and lymph system diseases, reproductive loss, premature and small infant births, chromosomal mutations, congenital and developmental abnormalities, multiple endocrine diseases, mental disorders and cancer.

The authors systematically explain the secrecy conditions imposed by the government.

While listening to this interview and reading the review, I will admit the oxymoron of our "free" western press and "democratic governments" aiding in the coverup of the deadly potential of Fukushima in the same way as the so called oppressive Soviet government really struck me.

Now onto the book. I came by this via a visitor from the website Rabble.

http://www.strahlentelex.de/Yablokov%20Chernobyl%20book.pdf

I started to read the intro. Get the book. This information is likely the closest to the truth we are ever going to get about how radiation will affect us, based on how it affected those around Chernobyl. Download and Save it!
